Hey everyone!!

This week has been amazing!!! There’s been a lot of opportunities for me to step into new things.

A few of the days I went to a nursing home to spend the morning with people. We took a guitar, crafts, and of course- bingo! It’s so fun to go talk to these people that have such a diverse amount of experience. Also to dance with them and brighten their day.

Another opportunity has been speaking in a church. I was asked to speak for a church service for homeless people aqui al fundacion (“here at the foundation” for the gringos). There were lots of homeless men there and the men in the rehab program. Almost every time I’ve spoken at a church, the Lord doesn’t tell me what to say until about 5 minutes before I go up- this was exactly the case for this too. By the end, you could hear an ocean of voices praying over each other to hear the voice of the Lord. I got to lay hands and pray for all the men in the program. This has opened up SO many opportunities to pour into them outside of a church setting, especially since I live on their floor. I have seen the Holy Spirit move in ways here that He hasn’t before.

Another fun thing we did was stand outside of a school waiting for it to get out. When all the kids started pouring out into the streets, we did a quiet drama about Jesus that they watched. Then we went up and had great conversations about Jesus and building relationships with them. Never have I ever done that type of evangelism!

The main story I want to share is about a new family that I met. A few weeks ago, five of us were walking around the streets looking for people to pray for and praying over the city. We were on a street that turned at a 90 degree angle. I felt the Holy Spirit tell me to pray for the first person that I saw around the corner. As soon as we turned the corner, I couldn’t see anyone- an empty street. Then as we walked a few paces, a lady ran out of her house. She started yelling at us to come pray for a sick person in her house! Praise Jesus! We went up and prayed for a grandma that has severe depression and invited them to church.

Two weeks went by without me seeing them again. The group of the other 4 people went back to see the family again, but I had to work somewhere else that day. They said that the lady had asked about me. I decided that I needed to go see them again. A group of us went out a few days ago to visit the family and catch up. They have a very hard family situation. There’s no men living in the house. There’s the great grandma with severe Alzheimer’s disease,  the grandma with severe depression, the mom, a baby, and an 11 year old boy (Alexi) who was born lame. They live in a tiny apartment on the second floor, which means one of them has to carry Alexi down to the ground level, put him in a wheelchair, and push him to school everyday. The only one who works is the mom. The first time I was there, Alexi wasn’t there. When I went a few days ago, I caught them about an hour before he needed to go to school. We talked and caught up and invited them to church again.

I’m almost to the point where I’m going to go to their house and carry Alexi to church. The only reasons they don’t go is because they have a hard time getting him around and the grandma never wants to leave the house because of her depression.

As we prayed in their house, the Holy Spirit came down. A few of the full time volunteers at the foundation and I started praying over their whole house and Alexi and the grandma. Other people broke into spontaneous worship.

I want to see Alexi stand up and walk. I want to see that grandma with a smile on her face. I believe in miracles. I believe I’ll see that boy walk before I leave here. The Lord wants to do something in that family. He wants to move in their hearts.

Pray with me and believe with me that we will see the lame walk. Believe with me that the Lord is about to do undeniable miracles in their lives. Alexi’s life is about to change forever. He will have a testimony that will point people to Jesus for generations to come. He will be an influencer and will show people that Jesus is alive and working today. Believe and pray with me. Get ready to see this miracle happen.
