Hey everyone!
For those who don’t know me, haven’t seen me in years, or want to learn something new about me: Thank you so much for spending your time reading this! This is just a quick little post about what I like to do and I guess my personality?? I don’t know. Now I would say that a majority of the things I do and decisions I make are surrounded around two of my passions- new experiences and Jesus.
My biggest passion is Jesus. How could the God who saved you from eternal death not be? My walk with God has revealed a lot of things to me about myself. One of the biggest things is service to others. Through the last five years, I’ve had over 600 volunteer hours every year. This year, almost my entire year was a volunteer project. I was working in Burundi, Africa for almost four months and in northern California for five months. Another huge thing I’ve learned I love through Jesus is teaching. I love teaching people how to do new skills that are practical for their lives, and I even enjoy teaching topics in a school setting… just not as much. It’s a different take on helping people, but I still see it as that. I also love seeing God move in undeniable ways, when He answers prayers through miracles, healing, and signs and wonders. It’s amazing to watch! He is moving so much today!
Something I have learned about myself over this last year is that I live for having new experiences. It’s something I’ve chased after for years now, but never realized it. I joined the Boy Scouts to get these kinds of opportunities. The program and my involvement gave me amazing experiences and opened up my eyes to see new passions that I didn’t know I had. Some of my hobbies that I discovered while in this program are- hiking, backpacking, travelling, acting, teaching, and just being in the mountains. Being honest with myself, it’s easy to see that I will do pretty much anything as long as it’s in the outdoors. This also led to a variety of different sports in high school that I love to play. My favorite sports I’ve ever played are volleyball and wrestling. Just recently while working in California, I have gotten really into mountain biking, rock climbing, and triathlon training as well.
Now, I know what you’re thinking: “isn’t this a little short?” Well yes. Yes it is. I’m a pretty simple guy, and I don’t enjoy talking about myself a lot. There’s a lot I didn’t talk about in this, but I hope it gives you a general idea about me. Thanks for spending your time reading this!
