Hey everyone!

So I’m still in Georgia…

Last week, we got our results just a few hours before our flights were about to take off, but we had a positive COVID test come through. Therefore, we all had technically been exposed and couldn’t fly. However, this last week has been incredible!!!

As a squad, we’ve mainly been doing lots of lessons and trainings together. People here have been encountering the Holy Spirit in new and incredible ways. The Lord is revealing new parts of Himself to us everyday. The squad as a whole is very hungry. Students that have been in church their whole lives are starting to see that Jesus is more than religion.

Jesus is more than going to church.

Jesus is more than singing worship songs.

Jesus is more than reading the Bible.

Jesus is more than getting your theology right.

Jesus is more than having all the answers.

Jesus is more than all the ways the church has hurt you before.

It’s my joy and pleasure to watch and guide my team and squad as they navigate what it means to hear the voice of the Lord. To lay down and submit everything you have under His will. To see Him move in ways that they’ve never experienced before.

Jesus is speaking. The Holy Spirit is moving. The Father is showing up. And as a result, hearts are changing.

My teammates and I, the Forerunners (more lovingly known as the “Funderbolts”), are ready to run ahead on the road set before us. We are ready to practically show love to His people. To bring Jesus to any person who’s looking- whether they know it or not.

More practically- we are no longer going to Nicaragua. The borders have been shut and it’s pretty much impossible to get in. While it’s sad, we still get to launch tomorrow to COSTA RICA!!! It’s funny we get to go there now because that’s one of the original places we were supposed to go. Our flight is tomorrow afternoon, and we couldn’t be more excited!!!

Costa Rica is going to be great, but just like anything, it comes with challenges. My squad is going to be split up into three different groups. The Forerunners and one other team are going to a ministry that’s 2 hours away from the other three teams. As a result, I’m now in a huge group of girls with one other guy! Just like last year! 2020 started with me and one other guy (who’s now also a team leader on my squad!) in Colombia with 15 girls. This first three months is going to be me with one other guy in a group with 11 girls. The other 5 boys in the squad will be at ministries 2 hours away.

As far as the other three months I’m gone, we don’t even know what country we’re going to yet! Who knows what that will look like!

My team and I are super excited to be in Costa Rica by tomorrow night.

I haven’t said this in a long time, but I don’t proof read these blogs. I type them just like how I talk, then send it away for you to enjoy. Have some grace on the probable typing errors.

I love you guys. Thank you for reading this. Thank you for supporting me. Thank you for praying for me. Thank you for showing Jesus to the people around you. Not sure what WiFi and updates will look like in country, so I’ll talk to you when I talk to you!

See you soon!
